The great visionary Commrade Shamsher Singh Josh has established this institute in 1976 and named after a great Gaddar Party Martyr Shaheed Kanshi Ram , who has hanged by the then British ruler on 27th march 1915. S.Rupinder Singh Josh is carrying his father’s mission to groom tomorrows physical education professionals, with full zest and zeal. This college adopts and approach to educate the whole person by developing body, mind and soul.

This institute is spread in over 26 acres of land. It has 400 mts. Standard Track and provision for Gymnastics, Judo, Sports Aerobics, Sports acrobatics, Hockey, Football, Handball, Kko-Kho, Kabaddi, Lawn Tennis as well as Aquatic Sports. Science Lab, Computer Lab, Psychology Lab, Educational Technology Lab are fully equiped with standardised equipment and a Firing Range for N.C.C Cadets is also provided.
